How to choose your sportswear
The right sportswear should not be chosen for style alone. Comfort, freedom of movement, fabric, and the type of activity are just as important.
At Kinetic Vita, we favor a simple approach: choosing an outfit adapted to your activity, your level, and, above all, the way you like to move.
1. FOR WALKING AND GENTLE ACTIVITIES
When walking, doing a few mobility exercises, or gradually getting back into physical activity, prioritize comfort above all else.
Look in particular for:
- flexible clothing that doesn't restrict movement;
- pleasant and breathable fabrics;
- a fit that doesn't compress unnecessarily;
- shoes adapted for walking that offer good support.
The goal: to feel comfortable enough to want to move.
2. FOR FITNESS AND STRENGTH TRAINING
The movements are more varied: flexions, extensions, floor exercises, working with elastic bands, or weights.
Prioritize:
- stretchy material;
- an outfit that stays in place during movement;
- good moisture-wicking;
- a cut that allows for great freedom of movement.
For women, a sports bra adapted to the impact level of the activity can also improve comfort.
3. FOR RUNNING AND HIGHER-INTENSITY ACTIVITIES
When effort becomes more sustained, managing heat and humidity becomes particularly important.
Lightweight and breathable clothing is generally the most practical. Avoid clothing that is too heavy or fabrics that retain a lot of moisture.
4. FOR WORKING OUT AT HOME
At home, there is no need to look for highly technical gear to get started.
Leggings, track pants, or comfortable shorts combined with a sufficiently flexible top can be suitable for many activities.
The most important thing is being able to crouch, stretch, walk, and perform your exercises without being hindered by your clothing.
5. CHOOSING ACCORDING TO YOUR BODY AND NEEDS
There is no ideal body type for wearing sportswear.
A good outfit should adapt to the person, not the other way around.
Depending on your needs, look for:
- a comfortable waistband;
- seams that do not cause chafing;
- clothes that are easy to put on and take off;
- a cut that offers enough ease;
- solutions adapted for when mobility is limited.
6. STYLE MATTERS TOO
Feeling good in your outfit can contribute to the enjoyment of practicing an activity.
Colors, cuts, and materials can therefore also be chosen according to your personal preferences. Sportswear can be functional, comfortable, and pleasant to wear.
THE RIGHT OUTFIT IS THE ONE THAT SUPPORTS YOU
You don't need a whole wardrobe to start moving.
A few well-chosen pieces can be enough. Start with your activity, your comfort, and your needs, then gradually complete your gear.
At Kinetic Vita, our goal is to offer clothing and accessories that allow everyone to move at their own pace, regardless of their age, level, or way of practicing.
Your pace. Your rules. — MOVE. LIVE. THRIVE.
